Is rap short for something? – What Level Does Starmie Learn Rapid Spin

Well, it has been for the past 20 years but there is no one definition of what rap is. To be sure it has had songs and people in it, but how is the genre that created that music? When did rap start? Before that the word itself was the verb “to rap” (or more specifically, the verb “to rap a verse”) and the word rap was something that rhymed. There are some other nouns that rhyme well. The closest is “to write a song”, but to me that’s still a noun. I also love “to rhyme” and can’t think of a better term for the type of music that rap is, but I don’t think there’s one more suitable. The term punk has been used a little bit to describe the music that emerged from the mid-to-late ’70s, early-’80s. I think it’s the music of that era that the people who are most familiar with it refer to when they talk about the genre of rap.

But where did “punk” come from? From an old word meaning an underground, and then the word “punk” itself started to make an appearance in the 1960s. That’s the name of a group of people whose music and lifestyle had something that was not popular at the time.

The word punk, which is Greek for “bad,” was the name of a band from Cleveland who played with the legendary hardcore group, the Dead Kennedys. The name “punk” was first introduced in the early 1980s. At the time when the word was
