I’m actually a fan of having an option for player development and skill acquisition. It allows for a lot more flexibility and it allows for the flexibility to have the flexibility to play one style of player for a year, and then to try something else. Even when you’re playing at a very high level, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be giving your coaches more flexibility and allowing them to go in a different direction.
This is why playing in the A team, that’s what you’re in, in that position, is always a possibility. You could always switch over and play in the B team. But then you’re sitting in a one-year deal because of the type of player you were. If you want more value out of a player’s abilities, it’s probably best to sign a one-year deal in a league where you have options. You want to give the teams the freedom that the clubs want to make sure you can get the best out of your best player.
You could go in and be a huge part of two or three years of a player developing into the player that you thought he was going to be. You want a player that’s not a risk. At the same time, you still want the risk factor and that can’t hurt. If guys like Chris Johnson or Stephen Williams turn into superstar players at the age of 26, the value of the player is going to be tremendous. You just can’t pay that price.
By the end of the campaign, you likely won’t want to watch the campaign anymore. The ads are boring, the ads are bad, and the commercials suck.
But they can still help.
Here are 10 candidates that should keep in mind for the fall
1. Mitt Romney – No matter how much you hate him, Mitt Romney is your guy. He has the highest favorability rating among Republican primary voters at 89%.
2. Rick Santorum – Rick Santorum is basically a clone of Mitt Romney. What he lacks in charisma, Santorum has made up for with his knowledge, his knowledge has to be better than his mouth.
2. Mitt Romney – Rick Perry is only decent on economic policy. Rick Perry is a clone of Romney.
3. Newt Gingrich – Not very nice to people with high incomes. Newt Gingrich is a clone of Mitt Romney.
4. Mike Huckabee – “I am so impressed that God would send me to America to have a better life than any of you.” It might be true
