Most companies provide online courses that will teach them skills for digital drawing at their fingertips. They can be expensive and come at a hefty price. It is a big investment (unless you are prepared to pay the full price) and is not worth it unless you have all the skills needed for the course such as a lot of practice, patience, and perseverance. If your company offers online classes, chances are these courses have proven to be very effective and you will get an instant and valuable boost in your career. Yup!, I’m talking about a whole lot of people who take online drawing courses! I have taken 3 of these and the result is one of the best drawing courses I have ever taken. It costs between $75 and $125 and comes in 2 parts. Each part of the workshop includes an extensive amount of materials to practice on. They also give you a wide variety of different drawing styles, backgrounds, tools, tutorials, etc. It is easy to get lost in all the content. They have a dedicated blog for each course to which you can read about other people in their class. The whole process of starting up and taking the class was a breeze. The entire process takes about 2-3 hours and then I made the decision to go ahead and start a blog. It takes about 1 week for the class to complete and I have had it complete in under 60 days. I have made friends in my class through the blog and been invited to teach my class! I have had my classes in 2 locations and am definitely looking to get them hosted in my next location. As far as the courses themselves, there are 4 of them. They have a bunch of different styles of drawing (mostly digital). One of the reasons I love the courses is they allow people who have no interest in drawing to have a good introduction to the medium. They allow you to practice on paper for about 20 minutes at a time with a drawing partner. It makes for a really good experience and is really helpful. The content varies a lot but most of the content will be about using Photoshop to draw with all different styles. This means you can learn basic drawing skills and then move on to using your computer to draw with more advanced styles for when you are ready to get serious about your career.
